Arizona Deb's Blog - Home Made Naan Bread Pizza

Happy Valentines Day!

Posted by

Yesterday, I was at Sam's Club.  They had a nice package of Naan Bread, one of my favorites.  I don't need 12 but I bought it anyway.  On my way home I was thinking about what to do with the flat bread.  Pizza!   And it was delicious!

I took a 28 oz can of tomato sauce an added:  about 2 Tablespoons of Angry Chicken Hot Wing Sauce, 2 tablespoons Deb's Flavor Crystals, 1 Tablespoon of  Our Own Italian Seasoning and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.  Mixed it up well and popped it in the microwave for a few minutes.

For the toppings I grated Mozzarella cheese and mixed in 2 Tablespoons of our own Italian Seasoning.

For the sauce, I took a spoon and just spread it out over the top of the Naan Bread.  then Sprikled on some of the Cheese Mixture.

The rest of the toppings are your choice.  I made two different kinds. For my husbands I finely chopped some Hatch Roasted Green Chile, Jalapeno pepper, Black Olives,  Red Onion, Red Bell Pepper, Pepperoni and Diced fresh roma tomato.

For mine I diced up:  Black Olive, Zucchini, Broccoli, Yellow Heirloom Tomato, Red Onion, Red Bell Pepper, Hatch Roasted Green Chile, Jalapeno and some Uncured Canadian Bacon (Sprouts has this)

The flavor was incredible!  The nicest thing about this 'made up on my drive home' recipe is that you can top it with whatever you have available!

I bake them at 425 F for about 10-12 Minutes or until the cheese melts. I put the pizza pan one rack above center so the bread didn't burn.  It was perfectly crunchy.

If you have any ideas you want to share please email them to me. I would love to share them here with my readers.

Thank  you and I hope you add some spice to your life for Valentines Day!

The next time I make this I am going to get some ground pork and use our Italian Sausage Seasoning.  That is a much healthier topping than Pepperoni!  :-)
